Peckwater Brands on the International Stage

Jul 11, 2022 7:30:00 AM

We’re not the boastful type, but the past few years have seen a great deal of success for Peckwater Brands. We’ve gone from strength to strength, growing our team, signing up new businesses and improving our overall offering and infrastructure.

We now proudly employ 40 people, and our recent Series A funding round was a testament to this continued success – those funds will prove instrumental in further building our brand and accelerating our growth as we set new, ambitious goals to help more hospitality businesses.

Peckwater Brands has the potential to become an outstanding player within the UK food services sector – while we already operate across more than 150 sites in the UK, we will continue to scale and adapt until we become the largest kitchen network in the country.

Opportunities across the Atlantic

The UK, however, does not represent the limit of our ambitions. Our model has shown itself to work – as evidenced by our stellar growth and, moreover, what we have enabled clients to achieve in terms of the volume of orders they are accepting and their overall profitability. So, why limit Peckwater’s operations to one country?

Having strengthened our brand within the UK, we are shifting our sights abroad – the Peckwater model is so universal that any market with food delivery stands to benefit from virtual brands. And work is already underway on this front; we opened our first overseas office in Miami in early 2022, bringing the Peckwater name to new shores, and our US team launched their first site in March, now operating 8 sites throughout the state of Florida.

Naturally, the US represents a major market to crack, with many of our existing brands compatible with both longstanding and recent national food trends, and we will continue to solidify our footing and expand throughout the land.

Open sesame

With our flag planted in the United States, we made our next international foray into the Gulf, taking over management of NKD Pizza, an international pizza brand with six sites in the UAE across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Our partnership with NKD Pizza was special, providing us with the opportunity to use our expertise and data-driven tech solution to optimise and improve the operations of an existing brand without the use of virtual brands, proving that the Peckwater approach can augment any hospitality business with room to grow.

Plugged in

Our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution makes international expansion even more viable – new markets mean new supply lines and providers, new food prep and safety standards, and new unique challenges specific to each territory. While we have the expertise and experience to navigate these challenges, our SaaS solution circumvents these concerns by going directly and remotely to hospitality businesses.

This plug-and-play solution integrates directly with a kitchen’s orders and delivery platform, using data to analyse the output of and local demand for a kitchen, and finding ways to optimise operations and maximise profits.

The next chapter

Our progress into the US and UAE markets only represents the first stage of our international expansion strategy – not only will we be developing our links with these markets and bringing new and existing brands to each, but we will also be targeting new markets in Europe and beyond as we bring the Peckwater Brands approach to hospitality businesses everywhere.
